Product Details

Made from a single vineyard planted in 1976 to Palomino (a variety almost unheard of as a premium dry white in South Africa) this wine is a rare find. With a hint of skin contact, it is fermented with wild yeasts and aged in neutral oak for 12 months, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. A vibrant white with a subtle texture, saline freshness, and remarkable old vine depth.

Vino pH

The small region of Piekenierskloof sits on a high mountain plateau in South Africa’s Western Cape. Hidden away in this cool climate are pockets of old bush vines. While the region is best-known for Grenache, winemaker Hanneke Krüger uses her project, Vino pH, to champion its lesser-known varieties, applying low intervention winemaking methods to exceptional old vine fruit.
