While carrying on his father Vincent’s perfectionist work at the family’s exalted Chassagne-Montrachet domaine and blazing a trail with his Roc Breïa wines in Mâcon-Bray, Théo Dancer is also tapping connections to showcase his talents when applied to other grape varieties from exceptional vineyards across France.
For his micro-négociant project, Théo works with grapes that he and his father love to drink on Sunday evenings: Aligoté, Pinot Blanc, Gringet, Savagnin, Gamay, and Grenache. Sourced from farmers who share their quality-minded, hand-off ethos, Théo vinifies his wines at Domaine Dancer using the same fastidious, minimal-intervention philosophies as applied to his top Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Pure and racy in style, they exhibit the hallmarks of their pristine origins through the prism of Dancer’s customary finesse.
A concentrated, textural Savagnin from Rotalier (neighbouring parcels belonging to Ganevat and Labet) that just builds and builds in the glass. Long and herbal.
