In a region dominated by farmers using questionable practices to deliver enormous yields of sub-standard fruit, luminaries such as Mas de Daumas Gassac, Domaine de la Grange des Pères, and Mas Jullien stand apart. By showing maximum respect for the land and local tradition, such domaines have reimagined the Langudoc as a fine wine region, crafting exhilarating, long-lived cuvées that outclass many of France’s other cult bottles. Noble Rot and Shrine to the Vine co-founder Mark Andrew will guide us through some of the Languedoc’s greatest wines.
