Jean-Baptiste Semmartin represented France at international level in fencing, before swapping the sword for the plough and training as a vigneron in Bordeaux and Burgundy. Now based in Lucq-de-Béarn, in the heart of Jurançon, he farms his own biodynamic estate, Domaine Lajibe, and runs a small négoce alongside it. Taking inspiration from Jura winemaking traditions, he crafts thrilling, dry versions of Petit and Gros Manseng. The wines are intense, precise, and increasingly hard to find, and we have a tiny allocation in stock now.
