Paul-Henri Thillardon farms his 12ha in Chénas biodynamically, with the assistance of his three siblings and two horses. From the ancient ‘Chassignol’ plot adjacent to the winery comes a Gamay with mineral tension, juicy sour cherry fruit and rose petal bouquet.

Justin Dutraive Régnié 2023
Following in the footsteps of his universally respected father Jean-Louis, Justin Dutraive is bringing youthful energy to Beaujolais with wines of ethereal perfumes and silky textures – his bright and spicy Régnié is becoming one of this lesser-known Cru’s new benchmarks.

Domaine de la Grosse Pierre Chiroubles 2020
After stints as a sommelier in Lyon and a winemaker in New Zealand, Pauline Passot took over her grandfather’s vines to make wines at her family estate and under her own name. Her Chiroubles is lively, elegant and long on stony complexity.

Yann Bertrand Fleurie Vieilles Vignes ‘Coup de Foudre’ 2019
Fleurie rising star Yann Bertrand has breathed new life into his family’s domaine since training under Beaujolais legends Jean Foillard and Yvon Métras. From vines that are over 60 years old, Bertrand’s Fleurie is loaded with dark cherries and wood smoke.

Alex Foillard Beaujolais Villages 2022
Although his first vintage was only in 2016, Alex Foillard – the son of one of the best-known and most respected vignerons in all Beaujolais – is already established as a top winemaker in his own right. From vines in Brouilly, his perfumed Beaujolais Villages delivers pure red fruit and mineral cut.

Château du Grand-Pré Beaujolais Blanc 2022
Romain Zordain took over half of his parents’ Gamay vineyards in 2012 (the rest were split his talented winemaking cousin Yann Bertrand) and has since become one of the region's most exciting rising stars. From fruit sourced from friends in Blacé, this Chardonnay is a beautifully creamy and almond-tinged Beaujolais Blanc.
