The late Lulu Tempier and her husband Lucien Peyraud were instrumental in establishing the Bandol appellation and Domaine Tempier as one of France’s great wine estates. Masters of long-lived savoury reds majoring on the grape Mourvèdre, as well as an iconic rosé, and a rare Bandol blanc, Tempier’s wines have become the reference point for Bandol and are essential drinking among artisanal wine lovers. Joshua Castle – group head buyer for Noble Rot, Keeling Andrew, and Shrine to the Vine – will tell the tale of the domaine and demonstrate why there are few pleasures like aged Tempier.
