Tim Phillips – aka 'Charlie Herring' – makes some of the most talked about, yet elusive, new wave English wines from a Victorian walled garden in the New Forest. On one acre he grows Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, tending each vine as if it were a favourite houseplant. The wines are all made with zero additions and labelled ‘Charlie Herring’, a fictional character invented by Tim’s wine-collecting vicar father. They are some of the best artisanal wines being made in England, but with an annual production of around 2,500 bottles and a growing following, are rarely available to purchase. This is your chance!
