Barolo, Barbaresco… Valtellina? Nebbiolo from this steep Alpine valley has the character and the history to rival Piedmont’s most renowned wines. ARPEPE owns 13 hectares in the heart of Valtellina. The high, sheer terraced sites must be worked entirely by hand, and tradition demands long, slow winemaking. This is old-school Nebbiolo that combines power and delicacy. Isabella Pelizzatti Perego, winemaker at ARPEPE, will guide us through a selection of vintages, old and young, that tell the story of Alpine Nebbiolo.
