Arnot-Roberts (Nathan Roberts and Duncan Arnot-Meyers) are among the new wave of Sonoma-based producers redefining what we think of as typically Californian wines: freshness, rather than ripeness, is central to their approach.

While traveling in Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, George Vare took cuttings from Josko Gravner’s heralded vineyard, which he later planted at the base of Mt. Veeder in the Napa Valley. Exotic and aromatic, this shows notes of juicy green apple, lime zest, and apricot all tied together with tingling acidity, while a short time on skins results in light, waxy texture.
