Adrien Lattard is a young winemaker on a rapid rise. After stints working at top domaines including Etienne Sauzet and David Duband, he spent three years as cellar master at Chassagne’s Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey. His own label is a micro-négociant project of the highest quality.
Throughout the year, Adrien helps with the vineyard work for parcels of vines scattered around the Côte de Beaune. He then buys either the grapes or the juice. Fermentation is in oak barrels, and the wines are aged in barrel for two years.
Adrien started with four cuvees: an Aligoté, a Bourgogne Cote d'Or, a Meursault and a Puligny-Montrachet. These quickly multiplied, and now at least ten wines, including some 1er Crus, are on the way.
Even the humblest cuvées exude class. They have texture and weight balanced with freshness and elegance. These are wines of detail rather than richness, and with a beautifully-judged hint of reduction. Quantities are tiny, quality is exceptional. Adrien Lattard is a star in the making.
