Need some sunshine back in your life? Then you need Rémi Dufaitre.

Rémi (a cousin of Fleurie’s Jean-Louis Dutraive) and his ex-wife Laurence have worked the slopes around Saint-Etienne des Ouillières on the border of Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly since 2006. Formerly supplying the local co-operative, the pair began to make their own wines in 2010.

One of the domaine's first bottles found its way into Bojo royalty Jean Foillard’s hands, who got in touch with Rémi and took him under his wing – a blessing that quickly attracted the attention of the Paris natural wine scene.

‘Boldness’ is sourced from a steep, 70-year-old parcel in Brouilly, which is the last to be harvested. Fermented in concrete and aged for 6 months. This is the sort of Beaujolais that’s so damn drinkable, you pull the cork and it’s gone. Juicy, brambly, a little wild, but nicely structured. We can't get enough.
