4 Kilos '12 Volts' 2022

Francesc Grimalt (former Anima Negra winemaker) and Sergi Caballero (musician and Solar festival director) established 4Kilos in 2006 with a focus on the many different terroirs of Mallorca. 12 Volts - their flagship wine - contains a hodgepodge of local Mallorcan and international grape varieties sourced from all over the island. Minimal intervention, a mixture of stainless steel and old oak, organic farming and wild yeasts are standard practice. Dark fruited and savoury on the palate, but as its name suggests, it's charged with energy.
