With a degree in biochemistry and experience working in California, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Hungary, Yves Falmet purchased a few hectares of 90-year-old bush vines in the Languedoc in 1996 and set out to make wine using his own pragmatic, open-minded approach to viticulture. With its attractive, pure raspberry fruit character, Yves' Carignan has a supple texture and refreshing salinity through to the finish - one for slow-braised stews.
