Brothers Maurice (married to the daughter of the late Albert Mann) and Jacky Barthelmé run this 22ha pioneering operation near Colmar. The pair have their own responsibilities in the vineyard and the cellar respectively, but together strive for the most natural approach as possible with low yield farming, minimal intervention, and zero fining or filtering of their wines. Creamy and exotic, this has the typical ginger, apricot and lychee notes of top-drawer Alsatian Gewurztraminer.
