Former sommelier Laura Aillaud is among a wave of talented growers raising the bar in the Luberon – a stretch of hilly vineyards between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence in the southern Rhône. Starting out alongside leading minimal intervention grower Jean-Christophe Comor at Domaine des Terres Promises, Laura farms 3ha of her own lovingly restored vines across a diverse array of local grape varieties.
Made in a juicy, fruit-forward style that’s balanced by fresh acidity, gentle alcohol, and mineral tension – in other words, perfect for a long boozing session – Laura’s joyful, whistle-clean natural wines are among our favourite recent discoveries (our mother company, Keeling Andrew & Co are the UK importers).
An blend of both red and white varieties, 'Amorcito' shows an intense, fruity character with flavours of blackcurrant and forest fruits, freshened by a twist of liquorice, and a gentle bitter finish. Just 1,500 bottles produced.
