Working Domaine Jamet's vineyards is not for the faint-hearted. The plots are scattered across steep, rocky terraces high in the hills, and everything must be done by hand. Jean-Paul Jamet worked his first vintage with his father in 1967 and has been old-school Côte-Rôtie's greatest champion ever since. While those around him released big ranges of single site cuvées, he put his flagship blend first. Some plots bring structure, some bring elegance, together making a greater whole. Ryan Mostert, Senior Sommelier at Noble Rot Mayfair, and Jamet alumnus, will guide us through a vertical tasting of this legendary wine, stretching back to 1999.
