La Grapp'A Trousseau 'La Bole' 2022

With its 2021 maiden vintage La Grapp’a has risen from an under-the-radar producer to the somm's favourite new Jura domaine.
Self-taught vignerons Aurélie Parla and Julien Maublanc took over 7ha of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir vineyards around Arbois and Buvilly that Julien's family had worked for generations – many of the oldest plots having never seen anything more than a pickaxe by way of tools and machinery.
Taking advice from their neighbours Jean-Baptiste Menigoz of Les Bottes Rouges and Jean-François Ganevat, biodiversity and biodynamics have been central to the couple’s philosophy in the vineyard, as well as the low-interventionist approach they take in their cellar. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, their wines offer a core of pure fruit, as well as a thrilling combination of delicacy, structure, and poise.
Snapped up last year by in-the-know somms and Jura-philes, those who can get their hands on the domaine's latest releases will be in for a treat.
From vines planted in 1992. Wild strawberry meets earthy minerality in this bright and joyful Trousseau.
