Founded by the Bouron family in 1964, Château Chavrignac was among the pioneers of organic farming in Bordeaux. Constantly striving for improvement, its 32ha of Entre-Deux-Mers vineyards are now certified biodynamic and the modern era marks a leap forward in the quality of Chavrignac’s wines.
Fruit is harvested by hand and sorted meticulously before undergoing fermentation using native yeasts and minimal sulphur additions. A blend of Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (20%), Petit Verdot (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), Chavrignac’s ‘Cuvée Bacchus’ is an expressive and juicy Claret with earthy complexity and framing tannins.
