Over the course of 22 vintages, brothers Alex and Benoît Moreau made Domaine Bernard Moreau one of the Côte de Beaune’s most lauded names. Since dividing their holdings in 2020, Benoît has set up under his own name, while the family domaine continues to excel with Alex at the helm.
Using a combination of sustainable and organic farming methods, Alex tends 14ha of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir across Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin, including distinguished 1er and Grand Cru sites acquired by his grandfather in the 1930s. In the cellar, fruit is gently pressed before fermentation and ageing in both old and new barrels. The resulting wines are consistently among the best in the Côte de Beaune.
