Not able to make tonight’s Fête du Beaujolais celebrations at Noble Rot? Bring the festivities to your own home with this new limited edition case. Featuring six brilliant bottles of Cru Beaujolais from some of the region’s most exciting talent:

Philippe Viet Fleurie 'Poncié' 2024
Inspired by the wines of low-intervention pioneers Jean Foillard and Yvon Métras, Philippe Viet left behind his corporate IT job in Paris to make joyful and utterly delicious Cru Beaujolais. Using organic fruit, gentle extraction, and minimal sulphur, Viet crafts high-class Gamays with a sensual fragrance and juicy fruit character. His Fleurie 'Poncié' comes from vines planted between 1920 and 2000.

Jules Desjourneys Chénas 'Le Judgement Dernier' 2016
A Burgundian who started out as an agent for some of the region’s most famous names - Coche-Dury, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Arnaud Ente - Fabien Duperray only began making wine himself at the end of the 2000s. His Jules Desjourneys Beaujolais wines are already in the top echelon, made from 7ha of biodnyamically farmed, gnarly old Gamay vineyards (some over 140-year-old). With nine years of bottle age behind it, this 2016 Chénas has matured like a top red Burgundy, and is now drinking at its peak.

Jean Foillard Morgon 'Cuvée Classique' 2022
The gateway producer for many-a-wino getting into natural juice, Jean Foillard's Morgons have long been stalwarts at Noble Rot and Shrine to the Vine. One of the legendary ‘Gang of Four’ credited with reviving artisanal winemaking in Beaujolais, Foillard’s wines are firmly established as modern benchmarks. Cuvée Classique is the best introduction to the Foillard style - a juicy, characterful red with perfect balance.

Alex Foillard Beaujolais Villages 2024
Since his first vintage in 2016, Alex Foillard – the son of one of the best-known and most respected vignerons in all Beaujolais – has gradually built his own reputation as one of the region’s top winemakers. From vines in Brouilly, his perfumed Beaujolais Villages delivers pure red fruit, minerality and elegance.

Elisa Guerin Beaujolais-Villages 2024
Elisa Guerin took over her family’s four hectares of vines just a few years ago, and immediately began converting to organic viticulture and low intervention winemaking. Her approach has completely transformed the wines, which are some of Beaujolais’ most exciting new arrivals. Her joyful, supremely drinkable Beaujolais-Villages comes from a 50 year old parcel south of Quincié.

Yann Bertrand Beaujolais-Villages ‘Lantignié’ 2023
Yann Bertrand has breathed new life into his family’s domaine since training under Jean Foillard and Yvon Métras. Lantignié comes from an old vine plot just outside the Fleurie boundary. Farmed organically, fermented with wild yeasts and bottled with no sulphur additions, it’s a beautiful, silky red loaded with cherry flavour.
