Travel inland from Agrigento on Sicily’s south coast, and you find a landscape of rocky outcrops, once a source of salt and sulphur. Giuseppe Cipolla planted vines here in 2015, building his own terraces into the hillside. His brilliant wines have a mouthwatering minerality running through them that suits the surroundings. Made simply with local grape varieties, these are beautifully crafted, distinctive, living wines.
