Jean-Marc Roulot (2020)

7 October 2022

Allocations of Meursault’s Domaine Roulot are more sought after than ever. With the 2020s about to be shipped from domaine, and expected before Christmas, Shrine to the Vine is proud to offer these wines ‘pre-arrival’, giving you the chance to secure an allocation at the keenest price on the market (our mother company, Keeling Andrew & Co, are UK importers).

Despite heatwaves and water deficits, 2020’s ‘lockdown vintage’ is impressing critics with its brightness and energy. Jean-Marc tells us “2020 seems less solar than 2015 or 2019. It strikes a balance between 2017 for its depth and 2018 for its more seductive side. A serious, yet approachable vintage which could be kept for 15 more years”.

Domaine Roulot continues to set the benchmark for Burgundies of mineral precision and mesmerising complexity. From his world-beating Bourgogne Blanc to high-definition single-vineyard Meursaults, Jean-Marc has achieved legendary status with wines that outperform expectations. 2020 is quintessential Roulot.
