An extreme growing season, says Pierre-Yves of 2016, crops in Saint-Aubin were down by almost a quarter – nevertheless, quality was high. 'Les Champlots' is just over the hill from Puligny-Montrachet's Grand Crus and this shows: powerful with nectarine, Granny Smith apples, white pepper, and herb notes. Juicy and fine-grained, with a long, satisfyingly fresh finish. A beauty.
