Patrick Javillier Bourgogne Blanc 'Cuvée des Forgets' 2020

Patrick Javillier took over his father’s 2ha estate in 1974 and raised the bar considerably by introducing organic farming and slowly acquiring prime sites in Meursault. He began selling his own estate bottled wines in 1990. Seeing the same extended time on lees and ageing in barrel as their top wines, Javillier’s Bourgogne Blancs offer serious value for money. Full and round, with a nicely judged yellow fruit character, alongside baking spices and a little white chocolate (a hallmark of the best white Burgundies in our eyes).
