Michel Gonet Champagne Grand Cru 'Authentique' 2005

The Gonets have been producing wine in Champagne since 1802. Today they farm 40ha, mostly around Le Mesnil-sur-Oger – arguably the most important Grand Cru village of the Côte des Blancs. Here they produce brilliant Blanc des Blancs that far exceeds their price point. Aged for more than 10 years in bottle, 'Authentique' is an oxidative and oaked cuvée, rich with nuts, bruised apple, brioche and butterscotch.
