Igavi Rosé 'Aladasturi' 2021

Englishman Aidan Raftery began his career making wine near Melbourne in 2013, but felt he was missing something by working with French grapes in Australia. Drawn to Georgia’s ancient winemaking history and 600+ indigenous grape varieties, he relocated to the Caucasus in 2019 to take over an old organic vineyard and cellar in a tiny village near the Black Sea. Aidan’s Aladasturi rosé – a blend of Tsolikouri Melqo and Tsolikouri Bazaleti – is taut and energetic, exhibiting notes of white cherry and pink grapefruit.
