Ganevat Chardonnay 'Les Miracules' 2017

Jean-François Ganevat – the Jura’s mad professor – is a superstar who, alongside retired master vignerons Pierre Overnoy and Jacques Puffeney, has most drawn attention to this obscure constellation in the past few decades.

An influential proponent of biodynamic farming and low/zero-sulphur additions, Ganevat ferments all five of the Jura’s permitted grape varieties to craft a roster of experimental cuvées and more conventionally made, Burgundian-style wines.

The only négociant white in 2017 – a blend of parcels as a result of losing a large proportion of crop to frost. Bright lemon, white florals, and earth, all tied together with saline freshness.
