Dominio del Aguila Blanco 2019

In barely a decade, Dominio del Águila has joined the ranks of great producers like López de Heredia, Château Musar, and Sylvain Pataille making thrilling wines in all three colours. In contrast to the bold, ripe style of modern Ribera made with international grapes, Jorge Monzón’s wines are expressive and terroir-driven, using local varieties sourced from ancient, organic vineyards at elevation. This smoky and mineral-accented wine is a nod to Coche-Dury’s sublime Meursaults, with its lingering citrus fruit and framing acidity.
