Domaine de la Bérangeraie Cahors 'La Gorgée' 2015

Domaine de la Bérangeraie is a family affair: Maurin Bérenger and his wife Marlène, sister Juline and her husband Henri have gradually extended their parents' original 20ha estate in Cahors to the modest 30ha it is today. A pioneer for quality-minded growing, this is one of the few properties in Cahors where all the vines are hand-harvested, while Maurin - as president of the grower's syndicate - has persuaded fellow farmers to reduce their maximum yields. 

Bérangeraie’s top cuvée comes form 35-year-old vines grown on the hillsides of Floressas. Rich, smooth layers of blue-black fruit are woven with mocha, eucalyptus, and cloves.
