Bernard Gripa Saint-Joseph Blanc 2019

Unusually for a northern Rhone producer, the majority of Domaine Gripa's vineyards produce Marsanne and Roussanne, so white wines are something of a speciality for the estate. From hillside terraces between Mauves and Tournon in the heart of Saint-Joseph, this has a bit more weight and spice than Gripa's Saint-Peray, but nevertheless retains its balance and freshness. Gripa's wines develop a deliciously savoury, herbal note with five years or so in bottle.
