Belargus Layon 2018

Domaine Belargus is redefining the historic vineyards of the Loire Valley with extraordinary terroir-focused Chenin Blancs. Taking over Jo Pithon’s iconic estate in 2018, Ivan Massonnat produces a range of single-plot cuvées, as well as a tiny amount of botrytised wine in the best vintages. With a ripe, sweet palate cut by tangy acidity, ‘Layon’ pairs remarkably with a wide range of savoury dishes – from salty blue cheese to duck à l’orange.
